The mortal remains of 12 Nepali nationals killed in the suicide terrorist attack on Monday in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, were brought to Nepal today.
The government chartered the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) aircraft to bring home 12 dead bodies including 24 other Nepali migrant workers. Among the injured five were taken to New Delhi in India for treatment while other two are receiving treatment in Kabul.
The NAC plane landed at 2: 40 pm as Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa and Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet arrived at the airport.
The bodies were handed over to their kin after laying garlands on the bodies, Home Ministry Spokesperson Yadav Prasad Koirala said.
Koirala added that the government has arranged for transporting the bodies to the home district of the deceased.
