Khukuri attack on film producer Roj Rana

Two motorcycle-borne persons attacked film producer Roj Rana with khukuri at Mid Baneshwar of the Capital on Monday evening. SSP Bikram Singh Thapa said police arrested one of the two assailants. The other, however, succeeded in fleeing the scene. The incident took place in front of the Central Cafe near the Ratnarajya School. Rana was taken to the Grande Hospital for treatment. He has sustained injury on his right hand and his condition is normal, according to SSP Thapa

The khukuri is a Nepalese knife with an inwardly curved blade, similar to a machete, used as both a tool and as a weapon in Nepal.
