Three members of a single family were buried alive after a landslide struck their house at Damara of Godadi VDC – 5 in Palpa district on Monday night. The deceased have been identified as Tom Bahadur Kanauja, his wife and daughter, according to police. A police team led by Matha Police Post has been sent to the incident site, said District Police Office (DPO).
The torrential downpour has triggered multiple landslides in the district. Adverse weather condition compounded with continuing rain has hampered rescue efforts. In an earlier incident, Ashmita BK had died when her house was buried in a landslide at Jhumsa of Dobhan VDC – 1 in the district. RSS
